Inter Island Charters was founded by Captain Sean Nixon, a seasoned pilot and lifelong Abaconian with a deep passion for serving his island community. What started as a dream to connect the islands has grown into one of Abaco's most trusted air charter operations — a certified, professional service that locals rely on for everything from island hopping to life-saving medical transport.
Co-owned by Carla Nixon, Inter Island Charters is a true family business in every sense — built with pride, operated with care, and dedicated to the people of The Bahamas.
We have earned our reputation flight by flight, passenger by passenger. From spontaneous island hops to critical medical transports, every flight we operate carries the same commitment: to get you there safely, reliably, and with the warmth of someone who truly knows these islands.

A certified pilot with over two decades of flight experience across the Bahamian archipelago. Sean founded Inter Island Charters with a single mission: to give Abaco a reliable, locally owned air service it could be proud of.
Carla brings business acumen and operational leadership to Inter Island Charters as a 50/50 co-owner and partner. Her steady hand has helped grow the company into the trusted operation it is today.
Aviation runs in the family. Sean's son Alec has followed in his father's footsteps — earning his wings and joining the Inter Island Charters flight crew. The next generation is in the cockpit, carrying the family legacy forward, one flight at a time.

Our medevac aircraft is fitted with professional-grade Spectrum Aeromed medical equipment — including a fully fitted stretcher system and onboard oxygen — ensuring patients receive proper care from the moment they board to the moment they arrive.
Based in Marsh Harbour, we can respond quickly to medical transport needs across Abaco, eliminating the delays caused by waiting for an out-of-island operator. When your community needs help, we are already here.
